Amazing day on the East Bank of the Nile River:

Early Morning, a travel representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo and transfer you to Cairo International Airport for your domestic flight to Luxor, which takes approximately one hour.

Upon arrival at Luxor Airport, your Egyptologist tour guide will meet you, holding a sign with your name.

Begin your amazing day on the East Bank of the Nile River in southern Egypt, exploring the city two massive, surviving ancient monuments:

  • The Temple of Karnak: Located on the East Bank of the Nile, it is considered the largest open-air museum and one of ancient Egypt grandest building projects, featuring multiple temples and covering over 100 hectares.
  • The Temple of Luxor: Situated in the heart of the city on the East Bank, this stunning temple is known for its impressive first pylon, built by Ramses II and decorated with scenes of his military campaigns, including his victory at the Battle of Kadesh.

The West Bank:

Afterward, you’ll cross the Nile to the West Bank to visit:

  • The Valley of the Kings: The burial site of nearly all the pharaonic kings of the 18th to 20th dynasties. Some notable tombs include those of Tutankhamun, Tuthmosis I, Tuthmosis III, Ramses VI, Amenhotep II, and Merenptah. Visitors can explore three tombs, depending on which are open at the time.
  • The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut: Also known as the Deir el-Bahari Temple, this is the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the first known female monarch who ruled for two decades. She was also the stepmother of Pharaoh Tuthmosis III.
  • The Colossi of Memnon: Two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, located on the West Bank of the Nile. These statues date back to the 18th Dynasty (around 1350 BC).

After completing your tour, return to Luxor Airport for your domestic flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, a representative will transfer you back to your hotel in Cairo, leaving you with wonderful memories of Luxor.
