Alexandria Bibliotheca:


You will be picked up from your hotel in Cairo and driven to Alexandria. Begin the tour with a visit to the Library of Alexandria, one of the largest libraries in the world, housing 8 million books. Explore the President Sadat Museum and the open court, where you can admire statues of Alexander the Great and Ptolemy I, discovered underwater nearby. Our guide will explain the library’s unique design from the outside, and you’ll have the opportunity to take photos.

Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa:

Pompey Pillar :


You will also drive by Pompay Pillar and stop for a photo stop, (it was constructed in honor of the Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century)

Ancient Roman Amphitheater:


We will walk by the excavation site of the Old Roman City of Alexandria, including Roman villas, the Amphitheater Ruins, Alexandria Great Tomb excavation site, and various ruins. Please note that we will not be visiting the interior of these sites but will enjoy an external view while our guide shares insights into their historical significance.

The car will then take you to visit the church of St. Mark – the oldest church in Africa,

Mansheya (Pass By)

Continue your tour by passing through the oldest market area in Mansheya and see the traditional womens’ markets (zan’et etsetat) with very thin and narrow streets, gold market also exists here where everyone buys their wedding and engagement jewellery.

The car will then transport you to the most beautiful and largest mosque in the city, allowing for a photo stop at the Abbo Elabbas Mosque.Walk by the oldest funfair in Egypt

Kayetbai::


Opposite is the corniche and the old harbour where you can see the old fishing boats, men fishing and traditional fishermen making nets. The photos taken here are amazing. Continue to see the outside of Quaitbay castle which was built on the same site as the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria one of the seven wonders of ancient world . A most spectacular castle which is a great photo stop.
